Apple Announces 60M Downloads from App Store to Date

Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs reported today in a Wall Street Journal article that, in the first month since the iTunes App Store opened, consumers have downloaded more than 60 million apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch. “Ive never seen anything like this in my career for software,” he said. Apple sold about $1 million per day of paid apps over the month. At the current pace, the company “could stand to reap at least $360 million a year in new revenue from the App Store,” that article said. “This thing’s going to crest at half a billion, soon,” said Jobs. More details in the article, linked above.

Didn’t know where to leave feedback so I’ll just do it here.

If this app could automatically sync (or even a manual sync button) with my iPhone’s calendar (therefore syncing it to my mobileme account) then I would use it constantly and tell everyone about it. I’d love to hear back from you on the possibilities of this. Thanks.

hi, Nate - thanks for your comment!

your request that our “myTo-Dos” app be able to synch with Apple’s own calendar is one we’ve heard frequently — but Apple has not yet made that possible

we have asked them how soon we might be able to so that, but no date has yet been given to us

(btw, a faster way to get feedback is via the “Product Help” links for each of our apps, accessible on this page: http://www.doapps.com/products/)

    cheers,
    Graeme
